Yes, readers that time of summer has finally approached... the time when I leave balmy Minnesota for warmer parts of this country. I'm off to Northern California where I will replace evening thunder-lightening-tornado storms for 100 degree dry-as-an-electric-oven weather.
Oh, June in Minnesota has been lovely- fun weather, lots of good books, lots of sex with Mr. Wonderful, laying out, a few heart breadking conversations with Mr. Wonderful, repairing the recommended reading list for advanced 8th graders at school (Note: I'll provide copies here for anyone interested- but I'm only to the L's), more sex with MR. Wonderful,and watching The World's MOST Boring vidoe class for my CA credential.
But, July in California will be full of different adventures- taking care of my Dad in his post-radiation recovery process, substitute teaching at the district I grew-up in (can I handle elementary school??) Ahh-- the wonders of year-round education, lots of e-mails and long phone calls to Mr. Wonderful, my cousin's wedding at Lake Tahoe and accompanying family vacation, a wedding shower for Celece and her sister, traveling 1/2 way across the country with Thor the Cat and missing Mr. Wonderful lots.
I'm in the packing process now... and I just wanted to check in- hopefully I'll have more time on my hands out there and I'll be a better updater... I keep saying that and it never comes true.
