I throw this out there for you English teachers... I can imagine the same look of bewilderment crossing your faces as crossed mine...
Last night I was grading a writing assignment from my 8th grade students. More than one student thought that when I said, "double spaced" I meant 2 spaces between each word!!
Should I be more concerned that they actually infered this or that there is more than 1 kid out there with those inferential skills?
I won't mention the other strange things they saw fit to turn in.
When you look up WTF in the dictionary, that is the definition!
