I was sure that it went horribly.
They called and left a message on my machine Monday.
I called them Tuesday and left a message.
I called them again on Tuesday and left a message.
They called back later on Tuesday and offered me a job. I cried.
I called to say “Yes” on Wednesday.
I have a more than wonderful job north of The Cities at a really good school district with an excellent hockey program.
Also on Wednesday, Mr. Math came in and made up with me. I cried.
Later on Wednesday, my 4 sophomore girls came over so I could tell them. We cried.
Today I passed up the job opening I saw for the Jr. High in town I live in. I cried.
Tomorrow I’m telling my students that I’m being non-renewed. I’ll cry.
Interesting how happy news doesn’t always cancel out the sad.
