Cup o' Reality
A Hair Appt.
Drank a cup o' reality at 7:28 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 09, 2005

I saw The Fabulous Jill for a hair appt. on Saturday. The topics of conversation were as follows:
* She continued tales of her break-up with Kris.

* Kris is being a jerk.

* She escorted Mr. Math to a wedding dance (no funny business.)

* Old Married Lady was there with her husband.

* Our friends had a beautiful baby and unfortunately named him "Dirk." No, Really!

* I should go to the State Hockey Tournament if I want to- regardless of what Mr. Math will think.

* I finally told her that I lost my virginity on her couch... and who Kris was cheating on her with.

* She told me that she wasn't angry with me for not telling her; she wouldn't have been ready to hear it before anyhow. But she wanted to know all of the names of the girls that I knew about.

* Oh, and--- The Farmer and Ugly Amy are engaged. The wedding will be next summer.

I knew that their engagement was inevitable... yet my feeling are undecided. My initial reaction was, "Well, so, she won didn't she." To which Jill stopped doing my hair and said, "No she didn't. We both know that!"

Friday night I went out with Gretchen and her boyfriend Marty. As we were leaving the bar and walking up the street in the snow I commented on what a beautiful night it was, so nice I didn't need my mittens-- Clearly my perception of nice has been altered- it was 15 degrees out!

In some parallel universe somewhere-- I still live there in that town. I wonder how that version of me is doing?

Miss Spunky is:
a 25 year old English teacher currently on an extended adventure in Minnesota, searching for a good man with a big... truck!

I love:
My students, excessive amounts of coffee, Baja Fresh and a good hockey game.

I dislike:
Ignorance, mosquitoes, and people who write in IM and/or grammar so poor that it is clear that they are lazy. IM is LAZY, LAZY do you hear me???
