Drank a cup o' reality at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday, Jan. 30, 2005
My goddaughter woke me up at 7:30 this morning... this after Gretchen and I were up until Midnight gossiping. (we have got to quit that!). So, I'm killing a little time before I go meet my Aunt and Uncle at church...
Matthew has been in Nashville since Thursday. I have decided that last week was the week of missed connections between us. I had too much time on my hands and he had not enough! He was in a mad dash to get his kitchen put together (major re-modeling) before he left town. And because he is totally ADHD this took all of his focus. But, I did receive a few e-mails at work indicating that he was thinking of me and eager to show me his progress... he returns from the land of Country and Jazz music sometime today-- I'm more than eager to hear from him.
I have been thinking about him a lot this week... and I have completely decided tha tI'll be sad if we can't get our schedules lined up. I would like to be a part of his life and vice versa.
Oh, and! I've been wondering how to completely accidentally rid my life of Crazy Mary from the Small-Sad-School (read back over this summer). I think that I succeeded the other night. She told me that she had bad mostly drunk or hung-over sex with Davey, Mr. Math's best alcoholic buddy... and I laughed hysterically for 2 minutes. The good kind of gasping laugh! I didn't mean to- but I was so shocked that I was not responsible for my responce. Davey doesn't have sex with grown-ups and grown-ups don't have sex with Davey. He is a 34 year old guy who exclusively beds 20 year olds! After laughing at Mary, I promptly called Gretchen and we laughed together. Yes, yes, I'm a mean, mean person!
Off to church to pray the Matthew calls me!
