Cup o' Reality
What I'm listening to today

When I was in college I had a good friend named Kari. When life was stressing her out she would pull out all of her old tapes and CDs to make a mix. Over the years I was the recipient of several excellent and healing mix CD’s of her creation. My brother has taken to sending me mix CD’s as surprises in the mail too. As I’ve been stewing about Mr. Math I decided that an excellent mix CD might help. Thus, I sat up way too late sifting through MP3 tracks on my computer.

This morning I burned two copies of the following CD. One I stuck in my CD player, the other I stuck in a custom case entitling it, “Say Anything.” Because we have always been able to say anything and I think that the following contents do just that:

1. I Don’t Know you Anymore – Savage Garden

2. For You – Barenaked Ladies

3. Things I’ll Never Say – Avril Lavigne

4. For Baby (For Bobbie)—John Denver

5. Heart & Shoulder – Heather Nova

6. Still Fighting It—Ben Folds Five

7. Goodbye—The Crash Poets

8. Don’t Change Your Plans—Ben Folds Five

9. Pictures of You—The Cure

10. Just Friends—John Michael Montgomery

11. Wherever you Are—Mary Chapin Carpenter

12. I Can’t Be Your Friend Anymore—Tim Rushlow

13. If You Ever Did Believe—Stevie Nicks

14. Mendocino County Line—Willie Nelson & Leann Womack

15. Why Don’t We Get Drunk and Screw—Jimmy Buffett

16. Best I Ever Had—Vertical Horizon

17. Your Body is a Wonderland—John Mayer

18. Wonderful, Wonderful– Johnny Mathis

19. Follow Me—John Denver

20. In My Life – The Beatles

I wonder how he is licking his wounds all the way Up there?
