I am a huge Diaryland slacker. I have all of these intentions about coming home from work to update my diary with all of the exciting work things that are going on.
As you have noticed, I haven't gotten there.
Tonight I went on a date with a nice guy. He has the male version of a pronunciation of my name. That was kind of funny. He was nice and a total gentleman. We had pleasant conversation. I think that we will probably see each other again... perhaps spark is something that builds. I need to quit going on first dates thinking that they will all be like my first with The Farmer. In fact, I should avoid men who make me feel like I did around The Farmer. I should see those delirious feelings as warning signals. Anyhow, Gretchen set me up with this guy; because as we all know, Gretchen has a part time job as my pimp. He was nice and I'll keep you posted.
The bummer is that I still like Marty Math Teacher way better. Perhaps it is because we already know each other and therefore each other's shit. But, I swear that I am about a day away from giving up on him. Well, that was what I thought until Friday... we had all day together in staff meetings. There were sparks flying and chemistry all over the place. I found out the next day that he had quite the conversation with Mary about me. What is more is that he initiated the conversation. Apparently, according to her, he realizes that he "would be a fool" to pass me up; but he has "a lot of shit to get straightened out." Well, if that isn't the truth! But, I like him and I want him... so I hope he is quick at the shit straightening! Wouldn't it be funny if the ultimate plot twist in the story of The Farmer was that I ended up with the man who set us up in the first place?
Maybe saying that jinxed things... did it??
Oh, and work is par for the course. Senile Old Principal is an idiot as is the Rat Bastard Superintendent. But, my students have been gems. Conferences are Thursday night, oh yay!
