Cup o' Reality
Positive People
Drank a cup o' reality at 11:27 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2004

I read in today's Minneapolis Star Tribune about the Minneapolis school system closing some rediculous number of schools.

Two of you will catch the irony in the following, which hangs on orange paper on the bulletin board above my desk at work:

"Positive People: Always focus on finding the solution, turn obstacles into opportunities and adversity into lessons, trust in their ability to make a difference, believe that things can always get better, use their vision to change their reality."

The irony of the hell that was the summer inwhich I received those words does not fall flat upon me. I remember thinking that was hell... but clearly, as you get older, hell only gets worse!

Perhaps I should go back to camp?

Miss Spunky is:
a 25 year old English teacher currently on an extended adventure in Minnesota, searching for a good man with a big... truck!

I love:
My students, excessive amounts of coffee, Baja Fresh and a good hockey game.

I dislike:
Ignorance, mosquitoes, and people who write in IM and/or grammar so poor that it is clear that they are lazy. IM is LAZY, LAZY do you hear me???
