Two moments from my morning- all before I had finished one cup of coffee. Both involving my rather haried mom:
1. Upon returning from the pharmacy picking up my Papa's expensive medications she exclaimed, "Damnit this was expensive!" To which I turned to my brother and commented, "When did it become acceptable for our parents to use foul lanugage infront of us? When did they quit worrying that we would copy them?"
2. Mom is standing at the kitchen sink, I'm the only one in the room. Quietly and hariedly she mutters, "I've got so much to do, I need to take some drugs here." Fortunately she isn't taking speed- just pain meds for her carpal tunnel.
In other Home for Christmas news: Papa is at Dialysis, Dad is too stiff to do the dishes, Victor playing piano in procrastination from mailing his grad school applications, Mom is making Swedish meatballs, I'm supposed to be wrapping presents and making lefse, and we're putting our yellow lab Tippy, 15+ years old, to sleep on Monday.
Merry Christmas!!
